  • Nobody can find you until you share, crew by crew. Pause or go ghost any time.
  • Deleted within 2 minutes of your last update, and at once when you pause, leave or the Space ends. No location history.
  • Bluetooth distances never leave your phone.
  • Your number is never shown. People see your Pin Buddy and first name.
  • No ads. We never sell your data.

Good to know

Is it free?

Yes. PinDey is free, with no ads.

iPhone and Android?

Yes, both. An iPhone and an Android phone find each other fine.

Do I need an account?

In the app, yes: one tap with Google or Apple, or your email and a 6-digit code. Nobody in a Space sees your email. The tools on this site need no account.

Does it work indoors?

Up close, phones recognise each other over Bluetooth, so “Right here” works inside a hall. Indoors, distances are estimates: PinDey tells you when direction is rough, so look up and wave.

What about my battery?

Bluetooth and location run while PinDey is open. If you keep sharing after you leave the app, your phone always shows it and you can stop any time.

Does it need data?

A little. Positions are tiny messages. The map only loads when a friend is far away.

Is my location stored?

No. It’s deleted within 2 minutes of your last update. There’s no history.
